Ryan Place Announcements IMPORTANT MEETING TOPIC - 2nd of 3 Ryan Place Historic Overlay Hearings Monday, July 20th, 7pm, Westside Unitarian Universalist Church located at 901 Page Ave

Chesapeake's Presentation
June 30, 2008

Chesapeake has provided a copy of the June 30 presentation which was given to a group neighborhood leaders from Ryan Place, Berkeley, and Fairmount. This presentation answers questions regarding the drill site operations, photos of other urban drill sites, and information on post drilling operations including pipeline and compressor locations. It also has conceptual drawings of possible future development options for the entire 8th Avenue rail yard.

As you are aware, the originally scheduled and much publicized July 8 City Council public hearing with regard to Chesapeake's application for a drill site on 8th Avenue has been postponed indefinitely. This postponement was at the request of Chesapeake following the aforementioned June 30 meeting. Part of their reasoning behind the postponement was to give the surrounding neighborhoods an opportunity to learn more about the proposed plans should the site be approved by Council.

This presentation will be the basis of a more comprehensive and Q&A given at a Ryan Place meeting by Chesapeake and Fort Worth & Western Railroad in the very near future.

Chesapeake's Press Release
June 30, 2008

Chesapeake PR press release dated June 30 which the neighborhood will probably find interesting.  Two of our Ryan Place neighbors are quoted in the article.  I should point out that it was written prior to their decision to pull the 8th Avenue drill site variance off the July 8 Council agenda.
